So it seems this site is dying and I wish I could bestow upon it words of experiences, but I'm too green at it for that. I see that only Pinenut and myself show up with any kind of regularity. Not even you Terry are showing up regularly as of late. What's to be?

Terry's off playing with his new Makro... I may try one sometime soon, but I've been having a great time with the ol' Bandido II μMAX and my Outlaw. Bandido found me another couple wheatbacks today, along with the usual clad. Need to research and find the local ghost towns; tired of seeing crusty zincs only a couple years old.

I thought he had already done all of the research on it. The Racer II does sound like a great detector. I'm having some troubles getting used to my Safari, but I also haven't been up to much activity during the past 7 or 8 months due to arthritis in a few key places. I hope it eases up to get more in next year.
Also sad hearing of Gregg Lake's passing.

I was trying to see if folks were going to start trying to communicate on their own without me prompting them. We'll see what happens. It hasn't really ever gotten started, so I can't say it's "dying" as we have new member each week.

Eventually we'll get started... I think maybe we're afraid to bore everyone with our ramblings. That said, HEY - I just picked up another old Tesoro; a "closet queen" Bandido II μMAX. Hoping to give it a test run this afternoon. As much as I like my Outlaw, these Bandidos really are the stuff (have a couple now). Too bad Tesoro didn't continue on with them as Bandidos. Their "ED120" disc and simple toggle for all metal / no motion AM is really a pleasure to use in my favorite trashy search spots. Besides the Outlaw and Eldorado, it's now my most often grabbed detector. ^_^
