Favorite brand is Tesoro, but in all fairness, Tesoros are the only ones I've used (though I tried a cheap bounty hunter for a couple days). My Tesoros are lightweight, durable, and just plain work. Hard to pick a favorite model as there's something to like about each one. Of the currently made models that I have, the Vaquero is my most often used. I just had it factory converted to a "high tone", so it'll probably get used even more. With my small 5.75" widescan coil on that Vaquero, I've found coins down to about 8" in composted pine needles. Works for me. ^_^

Well, I haven't yet taken my new Outlaw to the local camp spots I like to do, but it's been doing great in old parks where the soil seems mild to moderate. The parks aren't as trashy as the camps are, so I've been liking the 8" concentric donut on it, instead of the smaller 5.75" I usually use. Funny how whenever I get another Tesoro, it turns out being my new favorite... I haven't tried one yet that I didn't like, so now I have several. Still a couple more I need to try.. ^_^

I have a Safari that I'm still trying to get the hang of it fully.
