Have you just lost your ring at the beach, or park? What should you do to try and get it back? Ask Metal Detectorists to help you recover it. Online metal detecting forums like www.GoTreasureHunting.com can be a tremendous resource for finding someone in your area quickly. You need to get someone as fast as you can because metal detecting is more popular now than it has ever been, the machines are better, and the detectorists are better. Lost rings in parks and on beaches – or any other area accessible to metal detectorists usually don’t stay lost long. When asking for help in an online forum, or Facebook, Craig’s List – wherever, NEVER give the location of the loss. Give the town, and your contact email address or Facebook page. Not everybody plays by the rules, and if you say I lost my $20,000.00 engagement ring at “XYZ Park,” you can bet there will be Pirate metal detectorists hitting that park hard for profit. Be Smart, be quick, always meet the detectorist you choose and hang out for the hunt.

Here is the letter from Whites concerning the MX Sport ;
"We deeply regret that the some of the MX Sports we have manufactured since launch in February have not been the quality products you expect from White's.
After the initial customer feedback on the MX Sport, we took immediate action to improve its performance. But the way we handled the firmware updates was confusing, and we're taking action to make sure it never happens again. Recently, we noticed a few machines that had random cracks on the corners of the faceplates, and quickly made the call to put MX Sport production on hold in order to protect you and our customers from even more grief. We have all hands on deck right now and are working to solve the problem.
We apologize for the inconvenience we have caused you and your customers. We truly believe in this product- and we are 100% committed to making this right. This is our highest priority. As soon as we have thoroughly tested and verified the solution for the faceplate issue, we will notify dealers and registered MX Sport owners.
Sincerely,
White's Electronics"

Looks like Whites has suspended sales of their new "MX Sport" machine so they can work on all the reported problems. Too bad.
